Strawless sip lid PET 95 mm is the sip-through closure for the clear cold drink cups. Two things separate it from the domes: a raised sip opening for drinking, and a clip rim that locks onto the cup.

Drinking without a straw

The raised opening lets the drink be taken straight from the lid, with no straw involved. For venues that have dropped single-use straws — by choice or because a rule required it — this is not an alternative but the only route. A customer who does want a straw can still use one, so the menu does not need two separate lines.

What the clip rim does

The clipped edge locks the lid onto the mouth of the cup under pressure. That is what stops the drink creeping out at the edge when a cup lies over in a courier bag or gets shaken on a staircase. In delivery, the grip of the lid generates more complaints than the cup itself, and this is exactly where the clip version is chosen.

How it differs from a dome

A dome leaves vertical room above the rim for cream and ice cream. The sip lid gives none of that; in exchange its lower profile saves space in a carrier and in a cup holder, and it stacks more steadily when takeaway orders are piled up. Domes suit topped drinks, the sip lid suits plain ones.

One measurement, the whole range

Every clear cold cup in the catalogue is built on a 95 mm rim. The sip lid fits the smallest volume and the largest alike, so changing cup size never creates a second lid reference in the warehouse.

Lids are not printed

The mark goes on the cup and the lid ships clear. We state that in the description rather than in a footnote after the order, so a brand team planning custom print works with the right surface from the start. A clear lid hides nothing anyway; the design on the cup reads from above as well.

Working out the monthly need

Not every cup leaves with a closure — anything served at a table goes out open. Sizing the order against the proportion of takeaway sales is what keeps the two lines in step. Sites carrying this alongside a dome usually find their split after a month or six weeks at the till.

Supply and shipping

The product comes off a production line in Türkiye; the wholesale side and the export formalities sit with us, with no chain of agents in between. With 1000 to a carton, goods-in and stocktaking both run on a single unit and the distributor order comes down to one row.

Temperature limit

The material works cold only. Hot filling slackens the clip edge and the lock stops holding, which is why the hot range uses lids in a different material. One briefing to the counter staff settles it.

Shelf discipline

Cartons are kept upright on dry shelving with nothing stacked on them. A crushed clip edge loosens the lock, and a loose lock in delivery means a spilled drink — here shelf discipline matters as much as the quality of the part.

Fit with cups already in use

A site not moving to the range as a whole should test the clip against the cups it already holds. On a clipped design this matters more than on a dome: too loose and it opens in transit, too tight and it crushes the rim. A sample answers it in seconds.

Why it is listed separately

It seats on the same cup as the dome, yet we list it as its own product, because the buying decision turns on a different question: is the drink taken through a straw. Showing them on one row leads operators to order the wrong closure.
